Lunch date at Dough!

Looking for something to do?? Go on a lunch date with your little one!

In keeping with the theme from my last post, we checked out a new neighborhood spot to have some fun! So- why don't you grab a friend & head down to Dough?

Our new neighborhood bakery, Dough, is a superb little bakery from the owners who gave us Datz, one of my favorite local eateries. If you haven't heard of Datz or Dough, you will, and soon after; fall into "Pure Culinary Bliss" as they like to call it.

Upon our arrival from our wagon ride down, we were welcomed by everyone, even treated to a cookie and whoopie pie for the kiddos to enjoy while Mommies ordered lunch. {It's also a good idea to bring a friend so you can have back-up with adventurous 2 year olds!}

Oooohh! I want one!!
Everything looked delicious! The hard part was deciding what to try first! They have a nice selection of lighter lunch options, so you can save room for dessert! Today, we tried two of their sandwiches and orzo salad! Check them out! They were delicious!

walnut chicken salad, fig-orange jam, watercress on Amish milk bread
They didn't have a 'kids menu', but were so sweet to accommodate us with our toddlers in tow & made the kids a huge grilled cheese sandwich to share!

After lunch and a quick approaching nap time for these two mini-foodies, Mommies snuck in enough time to try a unique dessert!
A Caramel Curry Doughnut, delish!

Dough, is following in the same footsteps as Datz, bringing together unique flavors and textures to create delightful gourmet treats for everyone to enjoy! From seasoned foodies to our little foodie toddlers, everyone will find something to fancy there!

Hip, hip, hooray for Dough! We're fans already!

Rediscover your hometown!

Looking for something new to do?
If you're like me, I'm always up for finding new fun things to do with my family. And today, we rediscovered something fun in our city.

Our city is a growing metropolis. Tampa and surrounding bay areas are full of things to do and see! I'm happy and proud to call Tampa, home! With that said, we are pretty lucky to live only 5 minutes from the Florida Aquarium, near downtown. We visit frequently and always enjoy it This afternoon, as we were walking out from the aquarium, my hubby says, "How about we take a trolley ride?" Well, of course! Why didn't we think of this sooner?

What a great time we had! Jack loved it and we enjoyed rediscovering the streetcar system through Historic Ybor City. It was such a joy to watch Jack waive out the window and make friends with fellow trolley passengers.

If you haven't taken the trolley lately, or at all...I highly recommend that you check it out! Visit the site for more info here! My suggestion for next time, bring the camera!! My boy smiled and laughed so much, I only wish I had the good camera for these memories, but thanks iphone...you save the day again!!

Here's a look at the fun afternoon we had!

Hopefully, our little trolley ride story, encourages you to find something new in your city to check out or revisit if it's been awhile!! :)

As always, thanks for taking the time to read my posts!

A Beautiful day...

After spending the last couple of days, enjoying beautiful weather, egg hunts and time with friends and family...God gives us another beautiful day.

I'm so grateful for his love and blessings.

I think my little bunny had a good day too. :)
