Holiday Happenings, 2020 Edition

Happy Holidays friends! 

We know the holidays will look a little different this year, but we can't loose the fun!! I've rounded up some fun Christmas activities that are still happening, only modified to allow for safety precautions this year!

I'm including some options for weekend getaways too! Our friends at Visit Orlando have some wonderful activities that would make a for an easy holiday overnight getaway! And if you want to go a little further, I'm sharing some details about Stone Mountain Christmas in Georgia!

Tampa

Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park- Right in the middle of downtown, at Curtis Hixon Park along the Riverwalk, you'll find snow much fun! ;) Families can go ice skating, play in the Florida snow, ride the Christmas Choo-Choo, holiday snacks at the cafe & visit the shops of Winter Village! Christmas In The Wild- Holiday lights, festive treats & the wildlife at Zoo Tampa, makes this a Tampa family favorite! I hear Santa makes a special appearance on select nights! This special event at Zoo Tampa, is by reservation only, so be sure to order your tickets here! Christmas In The Wild will be open until December 30th. 

A Pirate's Christmas- You better believe the Pirates of Tampa Bay would get in the Christmas spirit! This special pirate cruise is all decked out for a holiday adventure like no other! Gallaghers Pumpkins & Christmas Trees- This little family owned spot is a MUST visit this season! They had the cutest pumpkin patch in the area and now they've decked the halls for Christmas! Stop by and pick up a fresh Christmas tree, wreath or just go for the adorable photo ops, holiday treats and maybe even a Santa sighting!! And the baby goats are back! I fell in love with this spot in October & I can't wait to visit again this month! Visit here for their hours and availability of the their trees! 

Orlando

Christmas at Gaylord Palms- The beautifully decorated Gaylord Palms hotel is an experience in itself! Add the holiday activities available, its a wonderful spot to plan a family Christmas outing! I Love Christmas Movies Ice Exhibit, Cirque Dreams Unwrapped, Snow Factory, Feast With The Grinch, Photos With Santa and so much more!! Dazzling Lights At Harry P. Leu Gardens- These beautiful gardens in downtown Orlando will be all dressed up for the holidays! Interactive lights, a 65 foot light tunnel and a towering Christmas tree along with a unique forest walk inspired by the aurora borealis! Stone Mountain, Georgia

Stone Mountain Christmas- The Park at Stone Mountain is a lot of fun! Now, decked out for Christmas it would make a wonderful destination for a weekend away! The Summit Skyride, Scenic Railroad, and the new holiday lights, Snow Angel Parade and the new Christmas Lasershow! Visit here to learn more and book tickets!
