Strawberry season has officially begun in Tampa Bay!

The Strawberry Festival in Plant City kicks off the official start of strawberry season each year & then more fun begins... the start of picking season at many local farms in the area!

Grab the family or some pals, some baskets & plan for a sweet day picking fresh strawberries! Plan to get a little dirty too! :) Also, depending on the farm, you can find additional berries and veggies too!

I'm sharing a few of our favorite farms for strawberry picking this season, but be sure to check with each individual farm for their dates and times for their own u-pick details!

5K Organic Farms in Plant City is a small family-owned organic, urban farm. We love 5K Organic Farms! Did you know that the name '5K' represents the names of the family members of this local farm! Isn't that sweet? You can also find blackberry u-pick here later in the year!

Wish Farms, also in Plant City is a third-generation owned commercial farm, and supports the local farmers in our area with their partnerships of local growers. They also give back to the local community in big ways with their initiatives for hunger relief in our own communities! Wish Farms also hosts many of their U-pick season to benefit local charities. The U-pick dates & time can vary, so be sure to check here for the all the details!

Passion Organics Farm in Thonotosassa, FL is another smaller organic farm, offering 100% Certified Organic strawberries & vegetables too! For more details on their u-pick season, be sure to visit their website here.

Upicktopia in Marsaryktown, FL is just an hour North of Tampa. At Upicktopia, you will find more than just strawberries! Many fruits, veggies and even herbs can be picked here at this family farm! Be sure to check the u-pick details before going, here.

Parksdale Marke a staple in Plant City might not have a u-pick straight from their farms, but they have a great shop & they make the BEST strawberry milkshake around, so I had to put them on the list to visit! If you didn't get your fill of strawberries out in the field, make a plan to stop by Parksdale for an award-winning milkshake on your way out and pick up some local produce too!
