Family Adventures | 5 Things to Do Right Now

February is one of my favorite months in Tampa! Our weather is just so beautiful. We can't complain that we don't see super chilly weather because it's usually cool in the mornings and 70's in the afternoons! Just perfect, if you ask me!

So, with the nice weather let's plan some fun!

Here are five of our favorite things to do outside, right now!

Eboats Tampa, is an electric boat rental in the Marina district right in Downtown Tampa. For seating up to 12, an eBoat is the perfect way to take in the sights of our beautiful city from the water! Bring some snacks or plan to dock at Armature Works or somewhere along the river for lunch or dinner. It's a wonderful time & the boys love waving at the people enjoying the River Walk as we float by!

ZooTampa at Lowry Park, has seen some major upgrades in the past year! And with their latest feature on NatGeo, Secrets Of The Zoo: Tampa, there's no better time to visit, plus there's a new baby Rhino!!

The Strawberry Festival in Plant City opens on February 27th and goes until the 8th of March & it's so much fun! If you love strawberries & fair food, then this is for you! You'll also enjoy lots of strawberry-themed arts & crafts, livestock shows, & an awesome concert lineup, including Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire & many more! And after the festival, you can visit many of the local farms for pick-your-own Strawberries, one of our own Spring Break traditions!

Kayak at Weedon Island Preserve is a lot of fun, but be prepared to work those arm muscles! Renting a couple of kayaks from Sweetwater Kayaks & packing a lunch, makes for a perfect family afternoon along the mangroves on Weedon Island. But, just be sure to keep an eye on the tide... too late in the afternoon & you might find yourself pulling the kayaks instead of rowing. ;)

Walt Disney World, I know, this one isn't technically in Tampa, but we love our Disney days & it's definitely worth putting on the list! Between the weather, lower crowds & the return of the Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket, it's worth mentioning and including! If you have Star Wars fans, I highly recommend you book a trip to Hollywood Studios to check out Galaxy's Edge, it was incredible! And the newest attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway opens next month!
