Lego Movie World at Legoland | What you need to know

Spring break is here & our Florida weather is gorgeous! If you ask me, there’s no better time to visit Legoland Florida

The boys and I got the chance for a sneak peek at the new LEGO movie world, and it did not disappoint! It’s actually a terrific addition to the park!

Here’s what you need to know to make your next trip to Legoland, super AWESOME!

The new LEGO Movie World, is just off the path from Duplo Valley. And once you arrive, you’ll have your choice of three new rides to pick from:

UniKitty’s Disco Drop- A hopping dance party in the sky of Cloud Cuckoo Land!

Masters of Flight- The coolest new ride in my opinion, is a full sensory flight experience through the LEGO Movie universe, while riding on Emmett’s triple decker couch!! Tell me what your favorite scent is when you ride it!! Yep, you read that right... you might recognize some familiar scents while flying through the LEGO Universe! Also, Masters of Flight had awesome LEGO walls & bins for creating and building while you waited in line! Genius!!

Battle of Bricksburg- A splash battle zone, boat ride where you'll spray the Duplo aliens...or they'll splash you! Spoiler alert: They will splash you. You will get super soaked!

In addition to these fun rides, there's more cool stuff to check out in the new LEGO Movie World!

Benny's Play Ship- Right smack in the middle of Bricksburg, you'll find a multi-level play area the kids will love to climb up, down and even slide through.

Emmet's Super Suite- Inside Emmet's apartment you'll find some friends from The LEGO Movie for a meet & greet! We think Emmet was working on his double-decker couch when we stopped by, but we did meet with Wyldstyle & General Mayhem! And, I'm told Benny also stops by from time to time!

Taco Everyday- The perfect food stand, with tacos all day, everyday plus a few delicious extras! Try the "Sofa-pilla" Bites, a puff-like cinnamon-sugar pastry bite with honey drizzled on top... SO GOOD!!

I also want to mention the adorable photo ops within the LEGO Movie World! There's a bench with General Mayhem, just waiting for you! Lots of cool areas for a fun selfie in Bricksburg and there's even a Rex Dangervest and a Lego raptor, ready to cheese-it-up for the camera!

And, if you don't know this, you can actually bring some of your own LEGO figures from home (make sure they have all of their parts of course, hair/hat, pants, you know!) and make a trade with any Legoland team member while visiting! Jack was so excited to make a trade for General Mayhem from the Project Director of Legoland, Keith Carr! He was finishing up an interview & Jack politely asked him for a trade and he happily obliged! Thank you so much, Mr. Carr!

LEGO Movie World is now officially opened and it's an AWESOME new addition to Legoland!
My boys had such a blast. We all did. The brilliant & creative minds at Legoland, they knocked it out of the park! ;) We can't wait to come back again soon!

We still had a whole afternoon of exploring Legoland that day, so we spent the rest of the afternoon visiting some of the boy's favorites: LEGO Ninjago World, Miniland, and LEGO Technic. And the boys even let Mom stop for Granny's Apple Fries!!

What are your favs? I'd love to hear them!
